🦈 Space Shark — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

Space Shark is a free browser game. This page explains, in plain language, what information the game handles and why.

What we collect

What we don't collect

The game has no accounts, no sign-in, and does not ask for your email, real name, or any contact details. We do not use advertising cookies or sell any data.

Where leaderboard data is stored

Leaderboard entries are stored with Supabase, our database provider. Entries consist only of the display name you chose, the score, and (for daily runs) the date. Because the leaderboard is public, anyone playing the game can see the names and scores on it.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (such as page-view counts) to understand how many people play. If we ever add analytics or advertising that uses cookies or similar tracking, this policy will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights over your personal data under UK GDPR / GDPR, including the right to ask for a leaderboard entry to be corrected or deleted. Since a display name is the only personal data we might hold, the simplest fix is usually removal — just get in touch and tell us the name and approximate score, and we'll delete the entry.

Children

The game is suitable for general audiences. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children — the only free-text field is the optional leaderboard nickname, and we encourage everyone to use a made-up name.

Changes

If the game's data practices change (for example, if ads are introduced), this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.

This policy is written in good faith and plain English, but it is not legal advice. If you have questions or a data request, contact the developer via the game's social channels.
